Zimarrie is the name I chose to sign my artworks, and Ísis (Ee-sis) is the name my parents chose to call me :)
I'm a Brazilian artist based in Wisconsin, where I create as a way of paying closer attention to the world. My work moves between illustration, painting, writing, and whatever medium best holds an idea that asks to be expressed.

I'm drawn to the moments that often go unnoticed, such as changing seasons, conversations with nature, fleeting emotions, dreams, symbols, and the subtle ways ordinary experiences shape us.
I don't believe creativity exists to provide answers, instead, I see it as a way of asking better questions that can lead us to discover new ways of looking.

Many of my pieces begin with curiosity rather than certainty. I enjoy exploring themes like memory, identity, transformation, mythology, spirituality, and our relationship with the natural world.
Sometimes the work is deeply intuitive; other times it grows from a more careful and intentional observation. Most often, it is a conversation between both.

Before focusing primarily on visual art, I spent years exploring symbolic languages such as astrology and tarot. That experience continues to influence how I see patterns, stories, and meaning, though today my practice is centered on creating art that invites reflection rather than explanation.
