About "Serenity"
The inspiration behind my artwork "Serenity"
Recently, I had a dream where I saw myself flying out of my bed and into the city, I was moving at an incredible speed, flying through everything and around the entire Earth. Then, I began making my way beyond this world and into the vastness of the universe.
My being seemed to alternate between my physical form and a tiny point of light, moving past the Moon and all the planets, farther and farther away from everything and everyone. For a moment, I became deeply aware of just how far away I was, and it frightened me a little. But that feeling didn’t last long, I suddenly realized that despite the distance, I was still close to everyone I loved, I understood that this distance didn’t truly exist.
With that reassurance in my heart, I continued moving deeper into space, I knew my spirit was taking me somewhere familiar, and I felt as though I was simply following a pull, moving forward with confidence.
I saw myself approaching an orb, a planet, if I must call it that. I was still traveling at an incredible speed, perhaps something close to the speed of light, I entered the orb, and everything inside was filled with very calming, translucent colors.
I landed and was welcomed by very elegant and serene beings, I couldn’t quite distinguish whether they were female or male, but they certainly carried a more feminine energy to me.
There was one particularly tall being who guided me through the gardens of this place, everything was open to the sky, and nature was present everywhere, beautifully integrated into the environment. I was still feeling incredibly electric and accelerated, while everything around me seemed to invite me to slow down.
I felt as though I had come there to purify my senses.
This being felt deeply loving and wise, at one point, we were about to hug each other, but a part of me wanted to push them away, almost aggressively. That made me question why I was feeling so much aggression and they told me that I was carrying residual, lingering dense energies from experiences on Earth. I then understood why I was there, it was to release those energies, to purify, and to cleanse my soul.
I also understood that this was not my final destination. From there, I needed to reach a certain level of clarity or lightness in order to cross over and continue toward wherever my spirit was taking me.
I noticed a tree and asked if I could sit beneath it, they told me I could, and that this tree was an old friend, I went over to the tree and sat beneath it, slowly entering a more relaxed state. I felt as though I was cleansing my soul of the remaining dense energies from other experiences I had carried with me. I had the feeling that tree seemed to support me through this process.
That is as far as I can remember of the experience, if I can even call it a dream.
My communication with these beings was telepathic, I don’t remember seeing us move our lips or necessarily speak any words, but everything was communicated perfectly through our senses.
You may notice that this artwork carries what looks like “writing.” To me, these marks are an energetic signature, a form of language that doesn’t have an objective translation. But if you allow yourself to connect with it, you can simply do so through your heart and your own sensibility, if you wish, and It will speak to you.
This portrait reminds me of the beings I was with and of the calming, serene energy they carried.
