What could I possibly be looking for
in these messy lines?
What could I possibly discover
when I expose myself through words?
Writing allows me something
I haven't found anywhere else yet.
A way to talk to my own mind
and be able to record it
what these texts reveal
about the way I think,
something that speech alone
has never quite managed to show?
The other day, a little Instagram trend appeared on my feed:
"Tell us 5 things about yourself."
And because I like writing, I went there and tried to answer...
At first, it was difficult and I froze
"I don't know."
How can I not know five things about myself?
It was a little embarrassing.
Until I understood what it meant to me
The truth is, I didn't really want to share five things about myself.
And if I don't want to, then I won't.
At least, I like to believe I have that power.
There you go.
That's one thing about me.
